Cybersecurity Department / College of Science at Al-Mustaqbal University is concerned about training and educating Students in the Field of Cybersecurity. In other words, it aims to provide Students with Knowledge & Skills that are necessary for the protection of Computer Systems and networks against increasing Cyber Threats. Study Programs of the Department comprise a variety of Educational Subjects, including Assessment of Cyber Risks, development of Security Policies, Detection of Threats, Countering Cyber Attacks, Implementation of Protection Techniques, and Community Education of Cyber Security.
In its Vision, Cybersecurity Department seeks to provide Students with in-depth knowledge and practical experiences in the Fields of Information and Cybersecurity, linking this Knowledge to the increasing demands of Labor Market, by offering Study Programs, which integrate Advanced Theories with Modern Technologies used in the Fields of Digital Security. Besides, the Department aims to graduate generations of experts who possess all required skills to deal with complicated Cyber Challenges, and thus having a vital role in the process of securing Institutions and protecting data and systems against increasing and sophisticated threats on the Internet.
In its Mission, Cybersecurity Department focuses on creating a Distinguished Educational and Research Environment, where Students shall have the opportunity to acquire the Knowledge and Skills that are necessary to identify and combat Cyber Threats effectively, in addition to contributing to the Development of Innovative Security Solutions. As a matter of fact, we do strive to provide Students with what they need of Technical and Leadership Capabilities that would enable them to achieve excellence in the Field of Cyber Security, and meanwhile establishing Safe and Sustainable Digital Environment.
The Department Objectives can be summarized as follows:
• Preparation of qualified and skilled graduates in the Field of Cybersecurity, being capable of dealing with Technical Developments and Digital Threats.
• Development of Original and Effective Research in the Field of Cybersecurity.
• Encouragement of Interaction and exchange of Knowledge and Experiences with Local, Regional and International Institutions in all Educational Aspects related to Cybersecurity.
• Provision of Consulting Services, Workshops, Seminars, and Competitions that would increase awareness and preparedness for Cybersecurity among Community Members
